Faro Airport is the only airport along Portugal's popular Algarve coast and in relative terms it is quite a small provincial airport. Having stated that, there has been significant growth in passenger numbers at Faro Airport this year with 42.5% more passengers using the airport in between January and April 2011. The greatest markets for growth came from travellers from the UK, France and Spain.
